Devils and Ghouls,

I miss you greatly. I miss being a creative miss to offer crappy entertainment for your souls. Mercy’s Macabre is still in the works. I am currently working on a logo idea for the show and figuring out a  few more things that need to be in place before I even bother to film it. My boyfriend and I are also going to be bringing back the Unsuccessful Entertainment Channel with newer reviews and such. We are also working on an animated series with one of our friends. There’s a lot in the works but it is definitely worth the wait.

On another note, I’ve been going through a lot in my life off the web that had me spinning out of control! I’m hoping tomorrow gives me the beautiful answer that I need to push forth with all my hard working efforts! Four years — Four hard working years are being put into this… and it’s bout time I reap some rewards from my hard work! Not to mention, I’ve been out of whack with my emotions for a while now. I want to get them back into control! I think I pretty much had a year long mental break down before I myself got annoyed with the shit and decided to put it behind me and embrace the beauty that I am.

I am currently obsessed with this typing it’s insane!

I just want to breathe and feel the cool spring air upon my skin, beneath the pale moon light and write my poetry all throughout the night. Hearing the subtle sound of the crickets. And digging deep within my soul.

How I miss it…

Hello Me.

As you’re writing this, you are a super broke goth chick with brains and a heart of gold. Regardless of what is being thrown at you, you always turn out fine. You’re a fighter and all the fights are worth the battle. You will win the war and get out of this jail of poverty and be enlightened with what you need to move forward in this beautiful world. You are a moon child. Lover of the night. You are a dark rose waiting to blossom through the feet of snow. Even though, it keeps coming down heavy, wet, and cold. You know you’ll make it. You are a lovely creepy darling. You will have a successful blog and channel, successful music career, successful business… why? Because you can! You have the strength of a thousand men and even though you are reading these words right now with tears pouring down your porcelain face… you know deep inside it will be alright.

The Conjuring (Review)

0

Hello my devils and ghouls.

Practically everyone I know was begging me to watch The Conjuring. Telling me that it’s new and surprising and a new film I’d actually like! And then… after watching it… I had to question how well these people know me. (Kidding, you guys are great)

Storyline: In 1971, Carolyn and Roger Perron move their family into a dilapidated Rhode Island farm house and soon strange things start happening around it with escalating nightmarish terror. In desperation, Carolyn contacts the noted paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren, to examine the house. What the Warrens discover is a whole area steeped in a satanic haunting that is now targeting the Perron family wherever they go. To stop this evil, the Warrens will have to call upon all their skills and spiritual strength to defeat this spectral menace at its source that threatens to destroy everyone involved. (IDMB)

Okay, so sounds like a pretty decent story. According to some research is claims to be about a true story…. Hmmm… well…

Firstly, I had to watch the film twice in a row because I was torn. Did I hate it? Did I like it? So I’ll list the things I did find to my liking and list the things I disliked. Here we go…

Likes:

  • Had a pretty decent story line going.
  • Acting of the Warren’s was pretty believable.
  • Old house! (Like it should be)

Dislikes:

  • Jump scares were not scary; music gave it a  way too easily.
  • Felt like they were meshing every paranormal film from the ’70s into one movie.
  • The paranormal activity started off way too soon – to me there should have been a little bit more of findings before a whole bunch of crap went on.
  • I don’t understand why people call this film new and exciting… (see bullet 2)

My main thing is with this film is it has me torn. I didn’t like it but I didn’t hate it. It’s like one of those movies you’d put on when the people you are hanging out with don’t like horror movies. It’s not one I’d buy nor have anything to really say about. I just wish it could have been more…scary. This whole every horror movie at night has this blue tint to it thing is getting old. My house doesn’t turn blue at night. If we take a look back at the old paranormal films hell even Halloween, there houses didn’t turn BLUE! And it was freaky because it was more realistic.

You guys might call me a nit-picker… and maybe sometimes I can be… but hey, we all have our own opinions. I for one think this is a film to put on just for background noise. I wouldn’t want to sit through it again. Goddamn, I need to get better at writing reviews. But I suppose this is what I get for trying to write one at 10:43AM.

Hello, I’m a person.

Hello Devils and Ghouls.

I’d like to get something off my chest. I’ve grown tired of almost every article I read about a talented person in the media today and have to read “Gay front man/woman of [insert band here] brings out the best in people.” “Gay Athlete wins Gold.” Doesn’t anyone see a problem with this? Now, I’m not against any gay rights. I think people of all orientations should just be treated like a person. I am just sick and tired of having orientations define a person these days. Who cares if the musician or the athlete is Gay or Straight? That shouldn’t be the main focus! It shouldn’t be anyone’s business. I’ve grown tired of this whole thing. I don’t care what orientation you are. There are amazing people and assholes in all forms!  We’re all amazing people in our own way! With our own strengths, weaknesses and accomplishments. I for one don’t think someone’s orientation should out shadow their accomplishments in life. Do we just add the orientation factor in headlines to make it some “juicy tabloid” topic? Attention grabber? I’m not quite sure. But I personally don’t care what you do in your bedroom, who you love, as long as you’re a happy person.

American Horror Story: Coven (Random Ramblings about it… and spoilers)

0

Hello my devils and ghouls.

I am an American Horror Story junkie. Pretty much the only show on t.v. besides face off that I actually watch when it comes on. Coven had to be one of the most interesting season of the show yet and I am yearning for more. I have a love/hate relationship with the season finale. I say this because part of me is wanting more but on the other hand — if they dragged it on too much it would be tiresome. So as much as I would love to see more of Cordelia as a supreme, I have to say I’m pleased with the ending. I was angry when Misty Day died. She was my favorite witch and I was hoping as a plot twist that she would be in fact the supreme, but at least it went to Cordelia and not that snotty bitch Madison. I think Misty deserved a spot on Cordelia’s council instead of Queenie. Queenie’s character was rather selfish and had very little group mentality. Zoe was well we didn’t know much about her except for the fact that she’s pretty much a whiny little one. Madison got the fate she deserved. She had to be the most annoying character in the whole story this season but I guess we all need that character to hate in a show. I just thought she deserved to live eternally in hell instead of poor Misty.  😦

I honestly wish I’d have a chance to be even an extra on this show because I think it’s one of the very few horror shows out there that are very well written. I love how the theme changes each season. It is what keeps it interesting for sure! My boyfriend always laughs at me when I get all giddy about this show but hey, I work at a department store not living out my dreams so I live through my favorite characters on t.v. and of course… my favorite ends up in hell… hmmm… hope that’s not my outcome. Anyway, I did think the final few episodes were rather rushed in the story telling. I think that Fiona and Madame Leveau (sp?) should have had more time to be partners and we didn’t hear a lot about the witch hunters part of it. Like, it’s like they knew they weren’t gonna win so lets meet up in an office. Although I did like that part… Gah. Love/hate relationships.

I do admire the show and it’s cast very much. Never dull when I turn this show on. Pleased to hear about a 4th season. Hoping it lasts for a very long time 🙂 I mean come on… if crappy soap operas are STILL around and people are STILL drinking the same glass of wine since 1972 because Herbert’s wife decided to cheat on him while he was in a coma in the the dining room with the pool boy then there is no reason why AHS can’t last a bajillion years.

With that, I’m tired. I’m going to get some shut eye. I miss you guys and will be back with more!
